WARPed Summit Aftermath: Experiences of Attendees...
« on: September 21, 2014, 10:09:47 PM »
I knew this was coming, but it's still sad to think that this was for many people there one and perhaps only experience with South Korea.

The first account that I'm aware of from a returned attendee was just posted. I certainly know more disturbing tales are on the way:

Quote
I just came from this summit, Oh my God, this was the strangest experience I have every had in my my life. I knew something is wrong on the second day at the saduim when mr. Lee talked. it was so clear that there is something wrong with this man. I told the person who was escorting me (Prtotocol assistant) that this is not right. The third day at the 63 building after all the talks they asked us to sign the agreement of unifinyng all religions to one, and I refused and this reveled everthing. the “protocol person” was so upset and for five hours tried to convince me to sign. I was so afraid that they would do harm to me. do the fourth day I disappred and didn’t want to go to the “peace walk” I’m back to Cairo and safe now. But this event was so evil. I have more and more info if you need to know more.

This post on the Talking About SCJ open Facebook page was removed by its author a few minutes after it was posted:

I was at the summit and have never been more freaked out about an experience before! There was something uneasy about it all from day 1 but after the conference on Day 2, it became all too obvious that we were not invited to network and brainstorm ideas with representatives from each sector but rather to parade about and add to the spectacle of the organization. If the objective was to attain world peace, perhaps the funding could be put to better use.

Did anyone who attended meet and perhaps share contact details with a young guy called Sven? On Thursday in the 63 building, he spoke his mind and had an altercation with SCJ thugs as a result. I spoke to a few of his friends later that day and they said no one had seen him since the thugs "escorted" him out of the room. Really, really want to get in touch.

Hello Mr Daley,

I was one of the participants you gave your card to last Thursday at Building 63 (before you got pushed away). Thanks for your info and for helping us to see the real side of the organizer's event. We packed our stuff and left the event the next morning. We could not do it earlier as our accommodation was 60 kms away in a mountain resort (Hanwha Resorts). We realized we were only bio-decoration for a madman's fever dreams. And for your information, after getting the info on IPYG, most of the EU youth representatives left in anger.

And I neglected to mention the first sign that attendees had realized something very strange was going on.

WARP Summit: or how we got deceived

Quote
Me and couple of my other friends from Lithuanian NGO's were invited to attend a world peace summit in Korea. Nobody of us expected that the things that happened would happen. Although we had read some controversial articles about the organisation which is organising the event we never thought that it would be so religion-oriented instead of what was claimed to be happening.

So basically, after the first meeting and several speeches of the representatives of this cult and of course the mister Man Hee Lee himself, the establisher and chairman of this movement, we understood that the things that are happening here under the name of peace are not the point of us being here. They never wanted to hear our opinions it was mainly about agreeing with their statements and being a bunch of exotic foreigners that would be a feast for photographers and media to show that even internationally this sect is being supported.

Although, the people and the volunteers we met were more than amazing, hardworking and supportive. Those ladies didn't have to do anything with the sect itself and they truly worked there because of the cause and lets be real a chance to volunteer in huge international events is always appealing. Those girls showed us the hospitality of Korean people and I really wish them the best of luck.

But until IPYG is under one "leader" with a dark past I would not recommend you to attend the event neither less become a affiliate of the organisation, unless you are ready for everything and want to visit and experience Korea.

A few more tidbits by an attendee and a hilarious message sent out to some attendees on the Thursday at the 63 Building when I was outside getting pushed and shoved by cult thugs and handing out my card to curious attendees.  ;)

Thank you. I was suspicious but never suspected something like that. The only thing that confuses me is that there are so many speakers, like presidents. It is all really weird.

All of the protocol officers that we met were from Daejeon. That was the first thing that everyone found suspicious
And also, those who are students all study physical therapy.

Actually I took out my translator from my ear because the speech lasted over an hour and got really boring and annoying. One of the staff members warned me to put it back in.

Look at this message that some of my friends received:

Good day! If a stranger guy, Peter Daley, sent you a message that he blames about Summit and IPYG . Please ignore him. We already know him .He is anti member. We will take a action about him.

Anti-member? Stranger guy? lol.
