Yes, there is a branch in Malaysia. I met some of the members a couple of years back at a conference. They are very much praised by Jung for their "diligence" and "obedience" and "purity of heart." Don't know much more than that, but last I heard they are recruiting heavily.

Just want to share that I've heard news that they have a branch in Johor nearby a local university. Hope that their branch will be dissolved soon since the news has been so wide!

Just heard they're using the name CGMM Christian Gospel Mission Malaysia, adding Malaysia (M) to the name the cult uses in Korea: CGM.

as far as i am concern,
Malaysian ... especially christians,
don't have much knowledges about cult ....
which caused not only this CGMM,
but also other cult can expand there easily,

I know of a branch in Kota Damansara.

Is there anyway to shut them? Did any country or the Interpol declared JMS illegal? Anyone in Malaysia can stop them or search their church etc?

Malaysian Providence had a surge in their membership after Jung was imprisoned.

The entire Providence world knew of it because it was often reported on CTN(Providence TV Channel), we were also shown videos and clips of how well the Malaysians were doing.

I attended exchanges and summer retreats in Korea and had encounters and conversation with many international members.

The reason for Malaysia's success was because of the unity that the Malaysian Chinese share, due to being a minority in their country. Chinese are really closely knitted there. I do know that they were recruiting a lot based on the hype produced by the Korean Pop culture especially from their external groups.

I also know that surge died down afterwards  8)
